Job Description

The role

Join us at Alpine Energy as a Key Account Manager and help enable growth across South Canterbury. This role sits at the front end of our customer connection journey, working with domestic, commercial, industrial, and large-scale customers to deliver clear, compliant, and well‑scoped network connections.

You’ll act as a trusted point of contact, translating customer needs into practical solutions, coordinating with internal teams, and ensuring new and modified connections are accurately scoped and priced before moving into delivery.

As a Key Account Manager in our team, you will:
· Manage customer connection journeys from initial enquiry through to handover
· Build strong relationships with customers, councils, consultants, retailers, and internal teams
· Scope, price, and coordinate new and modified network connections
· Support ICP creation and modifications, ensuring regulatory compliance
· Facilitate distributed generation connections such as solar and wind
· Provide clear, timely communication to manage customer expectations

What you’ll need

· A strong customer focus with experience in stakeholder or account management
· Solid understanding of electrical networks or infrastructure projects
· Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and timeframes

 

Nice to haves
· Experience in the electricity distribution or infrastructure sector
· Knowledge of distributed generation, ICP processes, or regulatory requirements
· Experience working with CRM or network-related systems
