The role
We have an exciting opportunity to join the Regulatory team at Alpine Energy. As our Regulatory Advisor, you will be responsible for:
- Interpreting and analysing regulation, policy, and legislation for electricity distribution
- Providing clear regulatory advice and insights to senior leaders and stakeholders
- Leading engagement with agencies and represent Alpine in industry working groups
- Driving compliance and change projects, including disclosures and submissions
What you’ll need
- Tertiary qualification in economics, law, public policy, or similar
- Experience in regulation, policy, or government (Usually 3+ years)
- Excellent plain-English writing and communication skills
- Strong analytical and relationship management abilities
- Proven ability to interpret and apply regulation and legislation
Nice to haves
- Knowledge of the electricity sector and central government policy
- Sound quantitative, qualitative, analytical and problem-solving skills to support the provision of good advice
