Job Description

The role  

We have an exciting opportunity to join the Regulatory team at Alpine Energy. As our Regulatory Advisor, you will be responsible for: 
 

  • Interpreting and analysing regulation, policy, and legislation for electricity distribution
  • Providing clear regulatory advice and insights to senior leaders and stakeholders
  • Leading engagement with agencies and represent Alpine in industry working groups
  • Driving compliance and change projects, including disclosures and submissions

What you’ll need  

  • Tertiary qualification in economics, law, public policy, or similar
  • Experience in regulation, policy, or government (Usually 3+ years)
  • Excellent plain-English writing and communication skills
  • Strong analytical and relationship management abilities
  • Proven ability to interpret and apply regulation and legislation

Nice to haves  

  • Knowledge of the electricity sector and central government policy 
  • Strong planning skills 
  • Sound quantitative, qualitative, analytical and problem-solving skills to support the provision of good advice
