Job Description

The role

Due to continuous growth in our Works Delivery team we are looking for an additional Planner Scheduler to join us at Alpine. You'll work closely with field teams, customers, and contractors to ensure our work is planned, priced, scheduled, and ready for delivery. This is a critical role that helps keep South Canterbury's electricity network running safely and reliably.

As a Planner Scheduler with Alpine Energy, you will be responsible for:

  • Planning, scheduling, and coordinating network and customer-driven work programmes to optimise resources and support successful delivery.
  • Pricing and estimating work, preparing quotes and tender submissions, and contributing to strong commercial outcomes across our portfolio.
  • Working closely with Field Services Team Leaders, customers, and contractors to ensure projects are well planned, documented, and ready for execution.

What you’ll need

  • Registered Electrician, Line Mechanic, Cable Jointer, or equivalent electricity industry experience (Usually 5+ years).
  • Knowledge of electricity distribution networks, construction methodologies, contracts, or tendering processes.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across customers, contractors, and operational teams

Nice to have

  • Experience in planning, scheduling, estimating, pricing, or project coordination within an infrastructure, utilities, construction, or electrical environment.
  • Strong commercial awareness, with the ability to develop accurate scopes, estimates, and delivery plans.
